MCB begins free replacement process for damaged debit and credit cards.

Willemstad – Maduro & Curiel’s Bank is starting a free replacement process for damaged personal and business debit and credit cards for MCB Curaçao clients.

The quality of the recently issued cards unfortunately does not meet what our clients may expect from us. Discussions about this are being held with the manufacturer. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused some clients and hope that the accelerated replacement of the damaged cards will help minimize that inconvenience.

Starting November 7, 2025, MCB will launch a simple and free replacement process for all clients with a damaged card.

The replacement process applies to all clients with a personal or business credit or debit card showing signs of wear, tear or damage. The replacement campaign, which began last month at MCB Bonaire, has now started at MCB Curaçao and subsequently will be extended to the other islands of the MCB Group (Aruba and Sint Maarten).

In the coming months, clients who wish to replace their damaged card can do so in one of the following three simple ways:

• Through the MCB Mobile Banking App
• Through the Contact Center
• By visiting a branch in person

Clients can choose whether to have their replacement card delivered to the address registered with the Bank or to pick it up at a branch. Once the card is ready for pickup, the client will receive an email with a confirmation that the card is ready for pickup. The full replacement process takes a maximum of two weeks.

During this process, the current card remains active and usable. Once the new card is activated, we ask our clients to destroy and discard the damaged card.

Clients can have their damaged cards replaced for free until February 28, 2026. After this period, MCB will evaluate whether an extension is necessary.
